Chen Flamenbaum
Chen Flamenbaum (b. 1992, Mexico City) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tel Aviv, working primarily in sculpture and ceramics. Drawing from his experience of growing up between Mexican and Israeli cultures, his practice brings together mythology, ritual, humor, and contemporary visual culture to create immersive sculptural worlds. Working with clay alongside found objects, textiles, wood, glass, and metal, Flamenbaum constructs installations that blur the boundaries between the familiar and the imagined. His works invite viewers to move through layered environments where ancient symbols and everyday imagery coexist, encouraging curiosity, discovery, and multiple interpretations. Flamenbaum holds a BFA with Honors from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. His work has been presented in museums, galleries, and institutions in Israel, including a solo exhibition at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art.
